Job Description

Please Note:
  • It is 100% On-Site located at Corpus Christi TX
  • Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week

Summary:
System Support Specialist (SSS) will be responsible for providing comprehensive on-site troubleshooting technical support and training for computer systems in a variety of environments ensuring seamless operation of personal computers servers Local Area Networks (LANs) and peripherals. This role requires hands-on assistance in the installation configuration and maintenance of hardware and software as well as providing help desk support via phone email and in-person. The SSS will address technical issues diagnose hardware/software problems and ensure a smooth user experience across various systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-User Support: Provide direct support to end-users both remotely and on-site for troubleshooting installation and maintenance of PCs printers and other peripherals.
  • Hardware & Software Installation: Install configure and test personal computers printers and peripheral devices; configure operating systems and other application software programs.
  • Problem Resolution: Perform diagnostics and resolve hardware/software issues ensuring minimal disruption to users. Coordinate repairs and escalate issues as needed.
  • Networking Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to LANs ensuring network connectivity and proper communication between devices.
  • Help Desk Support: Offer help desk assistance via email phone or on-site support for system-related inquiries. Provide users with technical advice and resolution for system and software problems.
  • System Configuration & Software Evaluation: Participate in the evaluation of system configuration software and network setup to improve performance and security.
  • Training & Documentation: Assist in user training sessions on software applications and system functionalities. Document technical issues solutions and user feedback for future reference.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Work with IT teams and other departments to address issues escalate unresolved problems and provide regular reports on support activities and system performance.


Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience providing direct end-user support in a professional IT environment preferably with knowledge of automated litigation support applications.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in Windows operating systems networking and telecommunications environments.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) and email systems.
    • Experience in automated litigation support and the client office automation environments is strongly preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA A Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) etc.) are a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with users in a professional manner.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
    • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required.
    • Customer service-oriented with a pleasant telephone manner.
