Job Description

Job Title: Senior Supply Chain Specialist

Location: Washington MI

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Salary: $90000 - $100000 annually

Responsibilities:

  • Customs Strategy & Compliance: Develop and manage regional strategies to ensure trade compliance handle daily broker issues and support shipment clearance.
  • Process Improvement & Risk Management: Lead projects to enhance reconciliation processes manage ISF processes and assess risks for new trade topics.
  • Supplier & Customer Management: Oversee solicitation and qualification processes address supplier escalations and improve processes for duty avoidance and customer requests.
  • Regulatory & Audit Support: Process CBP penalties and information requests support government audits and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
  • Training & Reporting: Conduct company trainings on free trade agreements manage ACE/CARM accounts and create quarterly KPI reports.


Requirements:

  • 5 years experience in customs and trade management
  • Bachelors Degree preferred in Logistics International Trade or related field 15 years direct experience in customs or international trade will be considered in lieu of)
  • Certification in related field preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of US/CA customs regulations and free trade agreements
  • Experience in project management and process optimization
  • Strong communication leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Must be willing to travel to other sites as needed
