Job Purpose:
To plan monitor and coordinate the Instrumentation Maintenance activities of the VSF plant including ancillary and utility sections ensuring continuous operations cost efficiency and product quality through best engineering practices and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Uptime & Availability
Develop and review preventive maintenance strategies to ensure high reliability and safety of instrumentation systems.
Troubleshoot breakdowns and implement corrective actions with root cause analysis.
Address bottlenecks and ensure timely of maintenance activities.
2. Quality & Compliance
Standardize maintenance practices and documentation.
Implement Lean 5S and zero-defect strategies.
Train team in problem-solving and root cause analysis.
Ensure audit readiness and compliance with ABG and ISO standards.
3. Projects & Plant Upgradation
Lead automation and instrumentation upgrades for cost and quality improvement.
Drive plant modification cost control and long-term equipment sustainability.
4. Cost Optimization
Reduce maintenance costs through inventory control and resource optimization.
Implement reuse and refurbishment initiatives.
5. Innovation & Automation
Introduce new technologies and improve existing systems.
Recommend and implement automation for process and safety enhancements.
6. People Development
Identify skill gaps and facilitate internal/external training.
Build a team culture focused on accountability collaboration and leadership development.
7. Safety & Statutory Compliance
Promote and monitor safety practices and awareness.
Ensure adherence to statutory norms and rectify unsafe conditions promptly.
8. WCM & ISO Implementation
Deploy World Class Manufacturing (WCM) practices and maintain ISO compliance for continuous improvement.
