Job Description



Role: Technical Support Specialist
Experience: 2 yrs
Location: Indianapolis USA (in person preferred)
Rate: $25/hr

Job Description:


We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Technical Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge and experience with iOS MacOS and Windows management as well as expertise in Microsoft services and endpoint network behaviors. They will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues managing device system and leveraging data tools to drive data-driven decisions and troubleshooting efforts. The candidate must be able to follow through on expected deliverables and timelines and work effectively across teams timezones and cultures. Your role will involve critical thinking problem-solving and effective communication to deliver reliable and timely solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic alignment across teams to ensure cybersecurity measures support business objectives.
  • Leverage AI tools to drive understanding and efficiencies.
  • Leverage logs and documentation to understand network and application behavior.
  • Troubleshoot client and server systems to identify and mitigate cyber risks.
  • Use vendor and team contacts publicly available information and vendor documents to understand & document technical behaviors of applications.
  • Clarify cyber risks and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
  • Assess and balance cyber risk with business needs.
  • Work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address cybersecurity challenges.
  • Follow through on expected deliverables and timelines.

Required Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to reliably deliver on commitments.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical expertise in networking applications or Microsoft endpoint software (for clients and servers).
  • Knowledge and experience with IT device management including Microsoft 365.
  • Understanding of server and client application behavior.
  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting network and application IT issues.
  • Ability to leverage logs for analyzing network and application behavior and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to understand data and to drive efficiencies.
  • Ability to assess and balance cyber risk with business needs.
  • Ability to use vendor and team contacts publicly available information and vendor documents to understand and explain technical behaviors of applications.


Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with SIEM to understand IT infrastructure behavior
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications in cybersecurity or data science (e.g. CISSP CISM CCNP Security).
  • Data science experience and knowledge.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and compliance standards.
