Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) L2 Engineer. As an Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) L2 Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) systems. Your primary focus will be on troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) environments ensuring high availability and optimal performance for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and troubleshoot hyper-converged infrastructure solutions based on customer requirements and best practices.
- Configure Simplivity Nutanix or VXRail software and hardware components including servers storage networking and virtualization.
- Integrate Simplivity Nutanix or VXRail solutions with third-party systems and applications such as backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Provide technical support to end-users and resolve issues related to Simplivity Nutanix or VXRail infrastructure including performance availability and security.
- Conducting performance monitoring capacity planning and optimization for HCI data protection VMware Hypervisor and HPE Server hardware environments.
- Collaborate with other IT teams such as network security and application teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of Simplivity infrastructure.
- Monitor Simplivity Nutanix or VXRail infrastructure and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to Simplivity Nutanix or VXRail infrastructure including design configuration and troubleshooting guides.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to hyper-converged infrastructure and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of Simplivity Nutanix or VXRail solutions.
- Strong knowledge of VMware ESXi VCenter and proficiency in working with Server hardware.
- Strong Troubleshooting vSphere storage plugin & vSphere networking issues.
- Strong technical understanding of technology including the various hardware (Dell - VxRAIL Nutanix AHV/AOS HPE Simplivity) software (Vmware and Nutanix AHV) and networking systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with patience a customer-friendly attitude and the ability to work in a team environment; Collaborate effectively with other staff to solve complex problems.
- Follow the ITIL Incident Management process to investigate diagnose and resolve incidents related to Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI).
Certification:
- ITIL
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
- Dell EMC VxRail : D-VXR-DY-01 or D-VXR-OE-23
