3. Job Objective
To ensure smooth safe & efficient operation of boiler & uninterrupted supply of steam to consumers at specified parameters.
4. Key Roles & Responsibilities
- To assist panel operator in smooth safe & efficient boiler operation to enable uninterrupted steam supply to user sections.
- To maintain proper fluidization temperature in furnace.
- Smooth operation of ESP ash handling system ash silos.
- To check boiler mountings accessories pressure parts field equipment for any abnormalities and inform abnormality to panel operator.
- To maintain blow down of boilers as per instruction.
- To maintain water treatment chemical doses in boiler as per specification.
- Collection of coal ash water steam samples for analysis and maintain parameters in norms.
- Smooth start up & shutdown of boilers as per requirement.
- To perform boiler shutdown activities in target time.
- To handle casuals distribution of jobs to them to get optimum utilization.
- To ensure wearing of proper PPEs working under him.
- To maintain 5 S BBS safety of area in their charge.
- To report panel controller about any abnormality unsafe observation and follow the guidelines of him.
5. Key Performance Indicators
- No. of steam interruption
- No. of deviation in steam pressure and temperature
- Slop consumption in shift
- No. of safety incident
- Interruption in ash disposal
