Were currently looking to hire an Investment Manager - Credit to join L&G Institutional Retirement - Investments
As a member of the Credit team within Portfolio Management the role holder contributes to portfolio management of Institutional Retirements Credit Investments definition of risk appetites and oversight of the mandate with Asset Management and Institutional Retirements asset sourcing channels across private and traded credit
What youll be doing:
- Evaluating private and traded credit investments to assess portfolio fit relative value and compliance with relevant risk appetites and limits
- Supporting the continuous development of the set of available Credit investments to support optimisation and diversification of Institutional Retirements portfolio and to support new business volumes
- Supporting the Portfolio Management of the traded and private credit portfolio including Creation and maintenance of key risk metrics and risk appetites and management of the portfolio in line with appetites and applicable risk limits
- Overseeing of asset managers mandate and performance for Institutional Retirement in this asset class
- Continuous development and improvement of the investment framework for traded and private credit and maximisation of risk-adjusted return under the framework
- Overseeing transaction executions representing Institutional Retirement with third parties/Asset Management as appropriate and working with all relevant parties (including ALM Investment Strategy Investment Operations) to ensure appropriate execution implementation and ongoing monitoring
- Drafting and present governance papers; engage with key stakeholder across the L&G group in order to support for effective credit portfolio management and credit portfolio optimisation
- Supporting the development of good relationship with other relevant teams and working practice in Investments. Oversee and collaborate with relevant Asset Management team(s) for overall delivery to ensure L&G benefits from the best available expertise to assess and take advantage of new opportunities and manage existing assets
- Consumer Duty accountabilities Operate at all times within the Mandates and Risk Limits set by the Business Divisions to ensure appropriate control for the Group and ensure that the principles of Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty are embedded in day-to-day operations to deliver good customer outcomes at all times whilst ensuring that all business processes and internal controls within your role are designed and performed in a way that delivers good customer outcomes and demonstrates effective management of Conduct Risk
Qualifications :
Who were looking for:
- Undergraduate degree in quantitative subject such as Math Physics Finance Computer Science etc or a degree in Accounting or Management (or experience in a similar role) essential Desirable: CFA Level II or III.
- Deep understanding of Investment Grade Credit essential
- Familiar with portfolio analytics & portfolio management concepts essential
- Knowledge of insurance balance sheet mechanics essential
- Familiar with portfolio construction and relative value assessment essential
- Relevant experience in first or second line managing/overseeing investment grade credit investments at an asset owner (e.g. insurance) or asset manager
