Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team in Glen Rose. As a Delivery Driver you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to our valued customers while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to customers in Glen Rose and surrounding areas
- Load and unload packages ensuring proper handling and organization
- Plan and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency
- Use smartphone apps and GPS technology for navigation and delivery tracking
- Verify delivery information and obtain necessary signatures
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries mileage and fuel consumption
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Provide excellent customer service addressing any concerns or questions from recipients
- Adhere to all traffic laws company policies and safety regulations
- Assist with additional tasks as needed such as prepping food washing dishes and cleaning.
Qualifications :
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Have had a license for 2 years if 18 years old or 1 year if 19 years
- Less than two tickets/at fault accidents in the last 2 years and less than three in the last 3 years
- Previous experience in delivery or professional driving preferred
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong navigation abilities and familiarity with GPS technology
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Proficiency in using smartphone apps for delivery tracking and communication
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexible schedule including potential weekend and evening shifts
