Job Description
With the continued growth of the KordaMentha business we are expanding our Melbourne based Finance team and are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant Tax & Investments.
This is a varied and engaging role that offers broad exposure across tax accounting and investment administration ideal for an individual looking to deepen their experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
You will be a part of a small collaborative team responsible for providing tax compliance investment administration and accounting support for KordaMentha entities and family office structures. In addition to your core responsibilities you will also have the opportunity to contribute to projects allowing for continued professional growth.
Duties of the role
- Tax compliance including preparation of tax return workpapers BAS FBT Taxable Payments ABN and tax registrations including GST FATCA & CRS compliance
- Tax and Accounting policy procedure and compliance documentation review and update
- Maintaining investment registers and documentation
- Assisting the team with reporting research and analysis as required
Qualifications :
- Hold a Bachelor degree in Accounting or similar
- Be CAANZ or CPA qualified
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of tax compliance requirements in Australia
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and application
- Management reporting and analysis skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics FinOps and Financial Reporter
- Be flexible to work on projects and manage workload to external and internal deadlines
