Job Description
What will you be doing
ALTEN is seeking a hands-on Electronics Engineer to support high-impact projects in industries such as defence aerospace and automotive. Youll contribute to the design development and validation of electronic systems with a focus on PCB design and component lifecycle management.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Design and develop electronic circuits and systems including schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer.
- Support end-of-life (EOL) and component obsolescence activities identifying alternatives and implementing updates.
- Translate customer and system-level requirements into electronic hardware specifications.
- Perform circuit calculations design reviews testing validation and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including systems software and mechanical engineers.
Who are we looking for
- Experience in PCB design using Altium (or similar tools).
- Understanding of electronic component lifecycle including obsolescence management.
- Strong fundamentals in analog/digital circuit design and debugging.
- Familiarity with validation processes and testing of electronic hardware.
- Previous experience in regulated or safety-critical environments (defence aerospace automotive) is highly desirable.

Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Degree in Electronics Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Altium Designer training/certification (desirable but not essential).
- Any additional certification in electronics design or testing is a plus.
