Description

Job Summary:

Provide administrative and operational support within the Movement Analysis Lab (MAL) Anatomage Lab and the Healthcare Simulation Lab (HSL). Provide assistance for the faculty staff and students utilizing each of the lab spaces and keeping the lab space clean and maintained. Directing the flow of faculty staff and students to the Lab Manager in response to requests for information.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist with:
    • Collecting processing and analyzing research data collected within the lab spaces.
    • Supporting classes research projects and tours utilizing the lab spaces including working independently to support student use of the Anatomage Table.
    • Preparing all lab spaces and equipment prior to use.
    • Restocking or organizing supplies.
    • Maintaining the calendar and scheduling use of the lab spaces.
    • Keeping the lab spaces clean after use including laundry needs.
    • Rearranging equipment or spaces as required.
  • Other duties as assigned which may be within the lab spaces or to support other needs within HSHP.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of the Ithaca College Microsoft Word Excel Powerpoint Outlook and Teams software applications.
  • Working knowledge of or willingness to learn relevant research software programs such as Vicon Nexus Visual 3D MATLAB and/or Python.
  • Working knowledge of or willingness to learn how to operate the Anatomage Table.
  • Ability to process work independently handle confidential information prioritize projects multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with faculty staff and students.
  • Good judicial and academic standing.
  • Have taken or are taking a Human Anatomy course (EXSS 12000/121000 PTBS 50100/51002).
  • Have evening or weekend availability to provide support for student use of the Anatomage Lab.

Preferred Requirements

  • Have taken or are taking a Biomechanics course (EXSS 30600 or PTBS 50400).
  • Previous background working in a research environment

Work Environment:

Most of the work of the incumbent is carried out within a generally accessible safe indoor environment. The incumbent will be required to use a personal computer research equipment and laboratory technology as well as other office equipment used in the day-to-day operations. The incumbent may need to move or lift equipment or other materials of up to 50 pounds. The incumbent may need to deliver materials to various locations requiring the ability to walk or drive across campus. Some evening or weekend hours may be required.

Pay Rate: $ 15.50
