Job Title: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Richardson Texas
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This individual will play a critical role in designing implementing and maintaining robust network infrastructure across both datacenter and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise networking and firewall technologies and a strong understanding of secure scalable and high-performance network architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
Design deploy and manage complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 network topologies in hybrid (on-prem and cloud) environments
Administer monitor and troubleshoot enterprise firewall solutions with a focus on security and segmentation
Collaborate with security systems and DevOps teams to support network infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications
Perform capacity planning performance tuning and configuration management across network environments
Lead root cause analysis of network-related issues and outages
Contribute to documentation diagrams and runbooks for operational excellence
Support compliance initiatives through secure architecture and audit preparation
Required Qualifications:
7 years of professional experience in enterprise network engineering
Demonstrated expertise in firewall configuration rule management and troubleshooting (e.g. Palo Alto Cisco ASA/FTD Fortinet etc.)
Strong experience with datacenter switching routing and network segmentation
Proven experience with cloud networking in AWS Azure or GCP (e.g. VPCs VPNs routing tables security groups)
Solid understanding of protocols including BGP OSPF EIGRP STP VLAN VXLAN IPsec and DNS
Proficient in using tools such as Wireshark tcpdump or other packet analysis utilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Juniper switches or routers (e.g. EX QFX MX series)
Familiarity with Aruba ClearPass or similar NAC solutions
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform Ansible)
Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNP JNCIS/JNCIP AWS Networking Specialty)
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:
$124400.00-160899.00 USDThe actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates unique experience locale and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO a 401k match and contribution to healthcare coverages.
