Job Description

Responsibilities & Duties

• Design implement and maintain security measures to protect computer systems networks and data.
• Develop and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies and tools to safeguard sensitive information.
• Ensure compliance with CMMC requirements and manage the protection of CUI.
• Conduct regular security assessments vulnerability testing and risk analysis.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches providing timely and effective solutions.
• Develop and enforce security policies procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
• Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends threats and technologies.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on security awareness and best practices.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and standardization to reduce manual effort and minimize errors.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols cryptography authentication and authorization.
• Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with CMMC requirements and handling of CUI.
• Experience with security tools such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and antivirus software.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g. SOX GDPR ISO 27001).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CEH CISM) are a plus.
