Job Description
Purpose
The Landscaping Technician is a hands-on field position responsible for the installation of plant materials turf and related landscape features. Working under the direct supervision of the Foreman this role supports the successful execution of commercial and residential landscape installation projects.
Primary Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
Install trees shrubs perennials seasonal color and sod according to design specifications.
Perform site preparation including digging planting raking watering mulching and cleanup.
Load and unload heavy equipment tools and plant materials from trucks.
Assist with daily setup and breakdown of job sites and ensure safe collection of all company tools and equipment.
Equipment Operation
Safely operate the following equipment:
Lawn mowers (push walk-behind and riding)
Tillers aerators slit seeders and occasional use of wheel tractors
String trimmers edgers hedge trimmers chainsaws
Backpack sprayers and blowers
Hand tools such as shovels rakes picks and pruning shears
Requirements & Expectations
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform repetitive physical tasks
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Comfortable working around environmental risks such as bees poison ivy and pollen
Must wear company-issued uniforms boots and personal protective equipment (PPE)
Must adhere to company safety protocols when handling chemicals and equipment
Valid drivers license preferred but not required
Must pass a background check and comply with all company policies
