Job Description

The following reflects essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. It is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as the company may deem necessary

  • Use inspection tools to troubleshoot any machining issues
  • Identify tooling/machines for all programming steps of a precision machined component
  •  Independently write programs for milling/turning machines using MasterCAM
  •  Use simulation to verify programs and macros Draw and modify prints/ 3-D models using CAD/CAM
  •  Understand and utilize simple statistical charts like X-bar
  •  Use Excel to develop reports transform data create graphs use advanced features such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables Assist with process improvement tools such as DOE
  •  Use all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and instructed Performs other duties as assigned by manager

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to do the following: Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time

Work Environment

  • Some of the work time is spent in a warehouse environment where temperatures are often warm or cool depending upon the season and noise level can be moderate to high
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required but not limited to: safety glasses gloves steel toe shoes/boots earplugs

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred.
  • 5 or more years of experience as a CNC machinist with manual machining experience 1 or more years of experience as CNC programmer
  • Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and experience with CNC programming software (e.g. Mastercam SolidCAM)
  •  Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in CNC machining such as G-code Mcode and conversational programming
  •  Demonstrated ability to setup and troubleshoot all types of CNC machines
  •  Understanding of machining principles cutting tool selection and machining parameters.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English
  • Ability to meet quality and productivity standards
  •  Computer skills intermediate knowledge Microsoft Office
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional tea


Additional Information :

Salary and Benefits:

The hourly rage is between $22.50- $34.40/ hour. The hourly rate is determined based on several factors including but not limited to work experience and job knowledge complexity of the role job location etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
