The Field Service Technician I is responsible for the delivery of high-quality customer service performing preventative maintenance routine repair and calibration/verification of Hach devices located at our customer sites. The customer base for this role is anticipated to be a combination of municipal (i.e. drinking and wastewater treatment facilities) and industrial (i.e. power plants and food and beverage plants).
This position is part of the North America Field Service Team located in the Boston MA area and will be remote.
In this role you will:
Perform preventative maintenance routine repair and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.
Promotes a positive customer experience and serves as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems.
Submits prompt accurate service reports that affect billing inventory instrument history and instrument failure.
Follows safe work practices according to company policy.
Executes administrative activities in support of service visits.
Daily travel required with 2-3 overnight stays per week. Meals travel and accommodations for overnight stays are covered by Hach.Additionally technicians in this position can be assigned to other locations as needed by the company.

Are you qualified
Associates/Technical degree preferred or combination of education and experience.
Basic mechanical aptitude is a must - experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair is helpful but not required.
1 or more years of field service experience and/or customer-facing roles preferred.
You have a valid Drivers License and a clean driving record required.
Willingness to travel daily

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associates position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements sales or revenue-based metrics any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $29.00 - $31.00 USD per job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
