You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailMaineGeneral Health is seeking a full-time Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our innovative inter-disciplinary team dedicated to providing a range of specialized services to children and families. This position will be located within the department of pediatrics.
Join an amazing team that includes child psychiatrists a developmental/behavioral health pediatrician clinical social workers and occupational physical and speech therapists.
Duties and Requirements:
Assume responsibility for the provision of comprehensive child psychiatry services including assessment treatment planning and implementation and counseling and education of patients and their families.
Maintain collaborative working relationships with other providers and staff attending patient care meetings communicating relevant and needed information participating in patient rounds with other health team members and providing direction for others in the care of patients as needed.
Work with our partner primary care medical practices to provide integrated care.
Must be board certified or eligible for certification in Child Psychiatry.
BLS for Healthcare Provider required within three months of hire.
Must hold a Maine medical license and active Maine DEA.
This team provides comprehensive interdisciplinary therapeutic interventions for a range of childhood difficulties including speech motor emotional and behavioral. Located in Augusta Maines state capital staff are very involved in programs that help develop medical and mental health policy. The psychiatrist will have the opportunity to work with graduate students medical students and family medicine residents.
