The Procurement & Payables section is looking for a Project Control Officer for the Harborview Bond Program who is a highly motivated and successful individual who can interact and build relationships with internal and external groups. This person must have the demonstrated skills to interact day to day with Harborview business needs as well as during high visibility events such as Washington State Audit or King County Council Audit council-initiated project risk reviews and high-profile project and program performance audits.
The Harborview Project Control Officer will sit within the Procurement & Payables compliance team but will be focused on supporting the Harborview Bond Program which is a special project within King Countys Facilities Management Division (FMD). On November 3 2020 more than 70 percent of King County voters approved Proposition 1 authorizing the County to sell $1.74 billion in bonds to fund facility and infrastructure improvements at Harborview Medical Center (HMC). Since its passage the staff has worked diligently to establish the necessary organization and management structures needed to implement this complex capital program one of the largest in King Countys history.
If you are a detail-oriented individual who likes to handle multi-disciplinary and technically challenging projects and program oversight and likes to work in a collaborative team environment- this is the position for you. We are looking for someone who is creative technically knowledgeable and has an investigative nature. This position will work closely with Finance Project Control Officer and the Finance Project Control Manager as well as the Harborview Bond Program Project team to provide guidance training and oversight to ensure the Executive Policies and Procedures for the Countys Capital Improvement Programs are being followed.
