JOB TITLE: FALL 2025 INTERNSHIP
WORK LOCATION: BAKERSFIELD AREA
REPORTS TO: DEPARTMENT MANAGER
COMPENSATION: $17.50 - $21.50 / HOUR (DEPENDING ON YEAR IN COLLEGE)
TENTATIVE START DATE: SEPTEMBER 2025
PURPOSE:
An internship at GPG is meant to provide a current college student an opportunity to gain work related experience in their degree field of study. A fall internship runs during the months of September - December in unison with the fall semester. With classes being in session internship work hours can vary based on a students class schedule. Internships are paid and requests for college credit are supported.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITES AVAILABLE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
FARMING: Agronomy Organics Quality Food Safety Innovation.
OPERATIONS: Supply Chain Business Analytics Packaging Purchasing Transportation and
Logistics Construction and Engineering Equipment Maintenance.
SG&A: Sales Marketing Accounting Human Resources Safety IT Corporate Communication.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Varies by position and may include the ability to frequently move about inside the office food processing facilities and/or farming fields. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. Occasionally must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to work outdoors. Must be able to work in different temperatures which range between 30 F and 110 F. Ability to inspect equipment and product. Must be able to work in a high noise area.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship needed.
Actively enrolled full-time (12 or more credit hours) college student.
Have successfully completed one full semester or two quarters and with at least one semester or quarter remaining prior to graduation.
