You are expected to generate sales opportunities with non clients for the business development team to ensure the delivery of its growth objectives. You play an integral role in ensuring the overall Business Development teams sales targets are delivered to the agreed year on year target by generating a significantly well qualified sales pipeline. The Sales Development Representative plays a pivotal role at Dragonfly in ensuring that Marketing content and strategies are aligned with Business Developments growth plans.
About the Role:
To generate meetings for the Business Development team through a mixture of cold outreach and nurturing existing marketing generated leads. The SDR will be targeted by the number of leads that have been converted into qualified opportunities.
Key responsibilities
Generate 17 fully qualified opportunities for the team.
Build weekly monthly and annual strategic plans to ensure that everything we do is in line with both client & Targeted email campaigns to prospects using relevant Dragonfly content.
Close collaboration between the SDR and BDM is essential. This will involve running weekly campaigns targeting prospects based on the profile of their company or the proximity of their operations using relevant dragonfly content or upcoming events.
Nurture and directly target leads that exist within the marketing database
Invite prospects to analyst calls and follow up
Maintaining and adding to prospect marketing database by researching and ensuring that relevant prospects are added to campaigns
Handling and filtering vendor related leads
Acting as the bridge between Marketing and Business Development
Ensuring that all activity is accurately recorded in the CRM.
Qualifications:
Bachelors qualification in relevant subject matter and or equivalent work experience
Ability to identify likely Dragonfly target companies / personnel based on their profile.
Demonstrable ability to work in a targeted environment
Adaptability and willingness to change tactics - to work iteratively if something is not working
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport trust and confidence
Very good organisation skills
