Job Description

Department/Organization:600151 - Academic Tutoring

Normal Work Schedule:Varies

Job Summary:The Athletic Intern assists in the daily operations of the Athletic Department. Provides practice coverage for assigned sport. Serve as the onsite liaison for student athletes.

Additional Department Summary:Assist with comprehensive academic and career counseling to support student athletes in identifying and meeting their academic goals leading to graduation and career development.

Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in any field OR individuals currently enrolled in college completing their undergraduate studies.

Skills and Knowledge:Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good organizational skills. Basic knowledge in the usage of personal computers including word processing.

Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in counseling education athletic administration or related area. Experience tutoring college students or working within an academic advising setting. Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
