Job Description

Braun Intertec is seeking an Entry level Construction Vibration Technician to join our Bloomington or White Bear Lake MN locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and Perform Pre-construction Condition Surveys of existing structures.
  • Set up equipment and communications for remote operations.
  • Assist in monitoring data daily and communicate data the Braun Intertec team members as needed.
  • Assist in providing daily reports to project managers and clients
  • Troubleshoot equipment as needed.
  • Learn and work within the software specific to the seismograph types for each project.
  • Mentoring from and working with licensed engineers and other experienced staff.

Required skills:

  • Work within established procedures and/or protocols.
  • Ability to focus on assigned tasks and effectively/efficiently manage time
  • Good communication skills
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Understand and work in compliance with corporate health and safety policies.
  • Complete safety training as required.
  • Able to work comfortably from ladders and aerial lifts.

Required Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology (CET)or similar degree desired
  • Preferred minimum 2-years of construction work-related experience.
  • Computer proficiency. AutoCAD skills a plus.
  • Valid Drivers License and clear driving record.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and color vision.
