Overview
As our Surgical Tech at Saint Joseph Mount Sterling now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health youll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We cant operate without you.
The operating room (OR) runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.
Responsibilities
As our Surgical Tech youll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We cant operate without you.

- Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilization
- Navigate the nuances of surgical procedures and surgeons youll be supporting
- Adapt to the needs of emergency situations
- Provide clean-up and turnover of operating room to prepare for next patient

Qualifications
Required Education:
- Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program
Required Licensure and Certifications:
- NBSTSA or NCCT
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Required Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
- Experience with varied high tech surgical equipment.
PREFERRED Qualifications:
- One year perioperative services experience preferred
