Job Description
The Skills Technician Mentor will create positive relationships between new and existing Skills Technician staff in becoming confident and competent. The position will help to improve the quality of care provided by Skills Technicians and will collaborate with the Skills Coach Leader.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Below are the primary duties and essential functions of an employee in this position. While not all tasks may be performed by every employee in this role all employees are expected to perform related tasks as needed. These essential functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Facilitate training and development for new and current Skills Technician staff.
- Motivate Skills Technician staff to deliver high quality outcomes as indicated by defined performance measures.
- Assist patients in building natural support systems and promote greater patient independence.
- Assist patients in learning and developing new skills to improve functioning and independence.
- Ensure patients are linked with other needed healthcare services.
- Ensure patients are addressing the goals that are important to them and/or their referral source.
- Participate in medical appointments with the organizations medical staff.
- Ensure patients are making progress toward treatment goals and are discharged at an appropriate amount of time.
- Provide and facilitate transportation for patients as needed.
- Complete all clinical documentation accurately using exact start and stop times and submitted in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: Must be a Skills Technician Level 2 or 3 that is nominated by leadership.
- Certificate or Professional License: No Certificate or Professional License required.
- Valid drivers license and active auto insurance coverage.
- Satisfactory results from criminal and driving record background checks
- Must be a minimum 21 years of age.
