Position Summary
As a Bistro Attendant you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food and beverage quality and presentation in workstation as directed by the Supervisor/Manager. Prepare a variety of food options as well as hot and cold beverages.
Essential Functions
- Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
- Knowledge of all menu items prices and methods of preparation. Use suggestive selling techniques to encourage the guests to choose items that are house specialties.
- Clean or sanitize work areas utensils or equipment.
- Clean service or seating areas.
- Check temperatures of freezers refrigerators or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Serve food and beverage items to customers in a friendly enthusiastic professional and timely manner.
- Follow 4 Keys service standards standard operation procedures and safety standards.
- Follow safety and security procedures.
- Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
- Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Abilities
- Must adhere to the companys Service culture 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
- Must participate in all required meetings and training.
- Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards.
- Properly handle and maintain all equipment.
- Respond to orders questions concerns and constructive feedback in a polite and efficient manner.
- Accurately handle cash and credit card payments following appropriate cash-handling procedures.
- Serve customers quickly and efficiently.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings and must be able to make recommendations.
- Observe relevant health and safety standards.
- Ensure that the opening/closing duties are complete as per protocol.
- Have a thorough knowledge of all the retail items.
- Abide by all policies and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Job Qualifications/Requirements
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalence
Experience: 1 year experience in a similar role
Additional: Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs
Physical Requirements
The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently to assist guests
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to hear understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff vendors and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
- Ability to bend and twist push and pull stoop and kneel
- Ascend and descend a ladder
