Job Description
Are you passionate about creating intuitive impactful web applications that support national security missions NS2 Mission is looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to join our growing team in Chantilly VA. If you thrive on building responsive mission-critical UIs using modern JavaScript frameworksand hold an active TS/SCI with polygraphthis could be your next great opportunity.
Our front-end engineers play a vital role in crafting applications that translate complex data into meaningful insights. Youll bring wireframes and designs to life shaping user experiences that are not only functional but also beautiful and accessible.
Position Overview
- Develop modern high-performance and responsive UIs using React and related technologies.
- Collaborate closely with designers product stakeholders and backend engineers to build user-friendly features that integrate with RESTful APIs.
- Translate wireframes and visual designs from tools like Figma into seamless interfaces that support key mission workflows.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to applications focused on data discovery and analysis in support of national security.
- Contribute to code reviews design sessions and continuous improvement efforts.
- Leverage build tools test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality efficient deliveries.
Position Requirements
- Proficiency in Angular (RxJS Signals Angular CLI TypeScript NgRx or similar state management tools)
- Solid grasp of modern JavaScript/TypeScript HTML CSS
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools like AWS CodeBuild (preferred) GitHub Actions Jenkins or GitLab CI
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with a cross-functional team
Nice to have
- Experience with NX or other mono-repo management tools
- Familiarity with hypermedia-driven APIs (e.g. HATEOAS)
- Exposure to observability stacks like Prometheus/Grafana CloudWatch or ELK/EFK
- Experience developing in containerized environments using AWS foundational services
- Contributions to open-source projects or strong personal projects portfolio
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest Vitest Playwright Cypress
- Experience working with design systems and component libraries (Storybook Tailwind CSS Material UI)
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices and tooling (JAWS Lighthouse Axe Devtools)
