POSITION SPECIFIC DETAILS:
Hours: 40 hours/week
Status: Full Year
Location: East Madison 30 Dempsey Road Madison
Pay: $17.34 an hour
SUMMARY:
The Nutrition Services Provider Ill will cook and promote high nutritional standards in Reach Dane multi-site locations. Responsible for the areas of food preparation food service clean-up and site sanitation. This position will follow food service and preparation guidelines based on the agency menu cycle as well as state and federal regulations. This position is also responsible for the supervision of NSP Is.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have the ability to read write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job
- Previous experience in a large-scale food production operation
- Knowledge of quantity food preparation equipment and sanitation methods.
- Minimum 3 years supervisory/direct managing experience working in a food service position with cooking and related duties.
- 1 or more years experience cooking specialty diets and having knowledge of menu substitutions for individuals with allergies.
- Strong math skills and experience scaling recipes portioning and ordering.
- Ability and desire to effectively work with low-income children and their families
- Professional demeanor.
