Due to increasing student numbers our Construction Engineering and Green Skills department is growing. We have the opportunity for a dynamic Construction Technician to take an active role in supporting our continued success.

The role of Construction Technician will involve but is not limited to:
- Supporting Lecturers in various trade area delivery including Bricklaying Carpentry Plastering Plumbing Interior Systems and Multi-skills provisions.
- Mixing of training materials such as render mortar and plaster.
- Ordering of materials and stock monitoring / rotation.
- Checking deliveries and taking responsibility for storing.
- Disposal of waste materials into skips and arranging collection.
- Basic maintenance of machinery (training provided if required).
- Security of storage containers and other storage areas.
- Security of loading bay and other related areas.
- Organising external maintenance companies for regular visits.
- Some supervision of learners / external visitors on occasion.
Our successful candidate will have/be the following:
- Knowledge of relevant codes of practice and awareness of current health and safety regulations and relevant legislation
- Experience of maintaining high safety standards
- An approachable manner with a Can do attitude.
- Self-motivated
- Team player likewise able to work alone too.
- ICT skills i.e. Microsoft suite.
