Training period: comprehensive 10-week training period - 8 weeks in the field working side by side with dedicated trainer & 2 weeks classroom-based training in Loveland CO.
3 days off per week! After completion of training your schedule will consist of 4 shifts per week at 10-hour days based on workload demand.

The Field Service Technician I is responsible for the delivery of high-quality customer service performing preventative maintenance routine repair and calibration/verification of Hach devices located at our customer sites. The customer base for this role is anticipated to be a combination of municipal (i.e. drinking and wastewater treatment facilities) industrial (i.e. power plants and food and beverage plants) and military installations.
This position is part of the North America Field Service Team located in Old Bridge New Jersey or the surrounding area (within a 30-mile circumference) and will be remote.
This role requires daily travel across the region including 2-3 overnight stays per week with company-paid accommodations and meals. Additionally technicians in this position may have occasional travel across East Coast to support other territories.
In this role a typical day will look like:
Perform preventative maintenance routine repair and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.
Promotes a positive customer experience and serves as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems.
Submits prompt accurate service reports that affect billing inventory instrument history and instrument failure.
Follow safe work practices according to company policy.
Execute administrative activities in support of service visits.
Daily travel across the assigned territory
The essential requirements of the job include:
Associates/Technical degree preferred or combination of education and experience.
Experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair - Mechanical aptitude / Mechanical orientation is required
2 or more years of field service experience and/or customer facing roles preferred.
You have a valid Drivers License and clean driving record required.
Availability and willingness to drive daily to assigned customer locations.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associates position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements sales or revenue-based metrics any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $29.00 - $32.00 USD per job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
