We are seeking an energetic and motivated Sales Manager to join our team at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on driving direct business to the hotel developing local partnerships and playing a vital role in growing group and corporate bookings. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for hospitality sales strong communication skills and a proven ability to close.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily outbound sales calls and follow-ups with potential and existing clients.
- Actively prospect from in-house guest lists to identify repeat and group business opportunities.
- Drive new and repeat Local Negotiated Rate (LNR) accounts with local businesses.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all group leads bids and RFPs via brand systems third-party channels or direct inquiries.
- Manage all aspects of group reservations including contracting room blocks and ensuring guest satisfaction pre-arrival.
- Build strong relationships with front desk and back of house teams to ensure seamless guest and client experiences.
- Represent the hotel at community events networking functions and local business outreach opportunities.
- Achieve monthly sales goals for group room nights and LNR accounts.
Job Requirements:
- Previous hotel sales or front desk experience strongly preferred.
- Marriott system knowledge (e.g. MARSHA OneSource MarRFP etc.) is a significant plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable making cold calls managing client relationships and working toward clear sales targets.
- Highly organized with a results-driven mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook).
- Able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
