Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION : Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Art courses up to 10 hours/week Organize and teach all levels of Art classes Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning; Teach day evening and/or weekend teaching assignments which may include distance learning (interactive television online) and accelerated courses; Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester; Participate in department division and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired REQUIRED DUTIES : Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Masters in art history history of art and architecture or visual culture/visual studies OR Bachelors in art history AND Masters in history OR Masters in art with a recorded emphasis or concentration in art history OR The equivalent EQUIVALENCY REQUIREMENT : All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District ( YCCD ) by the application filing date. Alternatively applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement.
