QUALIFICATIONS:
by the Rhode Island Department of Health
by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
least five years of successful school-based experience as an occupational therapist
professional and intellectual competency to plan coordinate and administer Occupational Therapy services across the grade span
knowledge of Occupational Therapy as it applies to the school setting
knowledge of Special Education laws policies and procedures
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
to communicate effectively
interpersonal skills
to write reports and correspondences
to read analyze and interpret policies procedures and professional articles
to be flexible in meeting scheduling needs
to meet multiple demands in an efficient manner
to maintain confidentiality
with Microsoft Office and Google
SALARY AND BENEFITS: The salary range for the Occupational Therapist will be stated in the Master Agreement between the Cranston School Committee and the Cranston Teachers Alliance.
WORK YEAR: The work year is defined in the Master Agreement between the Cranston School Committee and the Cranston Teachers Alliance.
