Location: Scottsdale AZ 85258

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Full-time: Benefit Eligible

In this role you will:

  • Accurately accession patient specimens into the laboratory information system
  • Provide support for pathologists histology technicians and gross technicians in the dermatology pathology lab
  • Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance on instruments and stain lines
  • Correlate H&E and IHC slides for scanning and distribution
  • Embed processed tissue specimens in paraffin blocks
  • Prepare chemical and biological waste for removal
  • File retrieve and scan pathology materials for send out studies and specialized testing
  • Answer phones and serve as a resource for clients and patients

All you need is:

  • High School Diploma minimum
  • One year of laboratory training or experience is preferred or qualified to receive on the job training
  • Strong reading writing communication multitasking time management and analytical skills
  • Ability to operate general laboratory and office equipment including but not limited to: telephones computers automated slide scanning and staining systems microscopes and audible alarms

This role will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees will be trained on reasonable safeguards and are expected to maintain strict confidentiality as well as abide by all applicable privacy and security standards. Employees are expected only to access PHI when it is required to fulfill job duties
