The position can be filled in full or part time.

Summary

We are looking for a System Engineer Functional Safety (f/m/d) for the Naval and Ground Radar Systems department at the Ulm site as soon as possible.

The department Naval and Ground Radar Systems is responsible for the design of radar systems for ship and ground applications of the HENSOLDT product portfolio.

Within the organization the department provides support from the offer phase through pre-series and demonstrators to product and series development as well as the processing of obsolescence orders and redesigns.

Your Tasks

  • Definition of safety plans for functional safety

  • Implementation of FHA (Functional Hazard Assessment) FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis)

  • Definition of safety requirements at various system levels

  • Creation of system architecture and design changes

  • Management of a hazard tracking system

  • Definition and assessment of safety-related verification methods

  • Inclusion of functional safety concerns in test specifications and test procedures

  • Compilation of safety evidence in safety case reports

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in physics electrical engineering IT aerospace security and safety engineering or comparable

  • Many years of practical experience in functional safety (FHA SSA SSPP FMEA) in aerospace nuclear energy railroad or automotive industry

  • Experience in requirements engineering (e.g. with DOORS)

  • Experience in the development of radar systems signal and data processing advantageous

  • Good knowledge of IEC 61508 MIL-STD 882E

  • Good knowledge of MS-Office

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary and multinational teams

  • Fluency in German and English
