Job Description

Position Summary

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer is responsible for interpreting organizing executing and coordinating geotechnical-related project assignments. This role involves planning and developing engineering projects including defining project scope and applying extensive knowledge in geotechnical engineering. The engineer exercises judgment in evaluating selecting adapting and modifying standard techniques and procedures while also devising new approaches to address complex problems.

Preferred Experience:

  • Geotechnical engineering in coastal areas

  • Settlement analysis

  • Slope stability analysis

  • LPILE APILE and related tools

Essential Functions

  1. Apply extensive diversified knowledge of engineering principles across a broad range of assignments.

  2. Review complete project documentation to ensure conformity and quality assurance.

  3. Serve as a technical specialist or advisor to upper management and staff.

  4. Plan develop coordinate and manage multiple projects or projects of major significance.

  5. Prepare project proposals based on defined scope and complexity.

  6. Supervise and organize the work of staff engineers and technicians.

  7. Review and approve scopes budgets and schedules for assigned projects.

  8. Maintain continuous interaction with clients customers officials and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

  9. Attend project meetings and present engineering-related topics as needed.

  10. Maintain consistent and timely attendance.

Other Responsibilities

  • Contribute to business development efforts and collaborate with CMT staff.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering

  • Minimum of 15 years of geotechnical engineering experience

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods and operate a computer.

  • Possession of a valid drivers license is required.
