Summary
In the RF Equipment Engineering department we are seeking a Head of Active and Passive Antennas (f/m/d) at our Ulm location as soon as possible.The Active & Passive Antennas department is responsible for the development of active and passive antennas for airborne seaborne and land-based radars electronic warfare systems and data links. Current and future development work includes AESAs and antennas for the Eurofighter and the FCAS program for frigates mobile ground-based surveillance radars and airborne electronic warfare systems as well as antenna systems for passive radars.
Your Tasks
Disciplinary and technical management of the organizational unit with a focus on budget investment personnel and resource planning
Ensuring product development and the execution of development projects in the area of active and passive antennas within the quality time and cost framework.
Ensuring simulation design and measurement capabilities including measurement chambers
Supporting sales program and systems departments in acquiring new projects
Promoting interdisciplinary collaboration within the hardware development areas (RF mechanical and digital) to develop innovative and high-performance products
Advancing technological development and making novel architectures and product solutions available
Monitoring and evaluating technological trends particularly in the areas of digital radar and broadband antennas
Ensuring and supporting skills and personnel development within the department
Your Profile
Completed degree in electrical engineering with a focus on radio frequency technology a relevant doctorate is advantageous and/or comparable proven qualifications in more than one development project
Several years of professional experience and proven knowledge in the field of antenna development
Experience in collaborating with multinational teams and a customer-focused approach
Entrepreneurial skills with a strong focus on results
Ability to represent technical issues to clients and in project organizations
Process-oriented structured approach as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills and experience in leading employees through proven successful management of a development team or project team
Motivational skills and strong judgment with regard to performance time and cost estimates
Fluent German and English skills
