Job Description

License/Certification/Registration:
*Current licensure of a Physician Assistant through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice required
*Physicians Assistant Certification required or in pursuit of recertification defined by the certifying body National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
*Maintain current BLS.

Education:
*Bachelors degree required Masters degree preferred.

Experience:
*Documentation of the provision of care to at least 100 patients during the past 24 months.
OR
*Documentation of the provision of inpatient care (including consultative care) for at least 20 patients during the past 24 months.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
*Ability to work independently and interpret laboratory and radiographic data.
*Ability to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
*Ability to work collaboratively through consultation with other healthcare team providers.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.

Position Summary

Evaluates and treat patients in the inpatient outpatient and Medical Imaging setting. Performs hospital rounds obtains complete histories and performs pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on new patients. Orders and furnishes medications perform radiologic procedures (within scope of practice) under the supervision of a licensed Radiologist treatment planning within the scope of practice and interpret physical psychological and preventive health data to determine patients needs and problems. Able to prescribe medications as allowed by scope of practice and pharmacy formulary. The IR PA collaborates with Radiologists in the promotion
and provision of healthcare.
