Behavioral PediatricsKey Roles and Responsibilities:
With the PI oversight advance Telehealth ROCKS training and quality improvement strategic plan focused on increasing rural workforce capacity to implement evidence-based approaches to improve child behavioral health
Liaise with Telecollaboration ROCKS partners to understand training needs and priorities including emerging priorities and translate these priorities into training series aligned with adult learning best practices
Design develop and deliver training programs for various behavioral health professionals (e.g. counselors therapists social workers).
Develop and implement training curricula materials and evaluation tools.
Oversee the delivery of training programs ensuring quality and effectiveness.
Monitor and evaluate training program outcomes to ensure effectiveness and make necessary improvements.
Leverage and expand relationships with child behavioral health and whole family health experts across the region in order to meet partner-identified training needs
Expand Telehealth ROCKS learning collaborative footprint through community partnerships focused on advancing child behavioral health in rural communities including primary care (FQHCs school-based health centers others) schools social services organizations and other community organizations
Develop and manage recruitment and retention strategies for workforce development (healthcare school behavioral social services others)
Conduct organizational needs assessments to inform and advance TeleCollaboration ROCKS training goals focused on two-generation/whole family impacts
Design and implement related training initiatives for healthcare professionals including medical staff nursing professionals behavioral health specialists administrative personnel and community health workers as well as broader education social services and other community participants
Integrate Quality Improvement (QI) methodologies throughout TeleCollaboration ROCKS and the broader Telehealth ROCKS activities
Implement QI coaching and technical assistance under Principal Investigator guidance
Advance program aims around leveraging healthcare information technology to enhance clinical decision support and trainings
Collaborate with the Telehealth ROCKS Director to ensure comprehensive implementation of organizational goals
Related to TeleCollaboration ROCKS key training audiences develop and implement workforce development plans and strategies to address identified gaps.
Supervise and mentor staff involved in training workforce and continuous improvement activities.
Oversee the collection analysis and reporting of training workforce and continuous improvement activities associated with grant evaluation requirements.

Required Qualifications:
Education:
Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. Clinical Services and Training Clinical Workforce Adult Learning Organizational Improvement Interprofessional Training Distance Education Rural Education and Training). Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Experience used to substitute education is in addition to any required work experience.
Work Experience:
5 years experience with workforce development.
3 years leadership experience with developing implementing and evaluating a strategic training initiative.
Extensive experience overseeing strategic training and continuous improvement activities to meet overarching goals.
Strong understanding of rural community systems associated child behavioral health including primary care community health centers behavioral health schools social services agencies and related partners.
Demonstrated expertise in community engagement and adult learning strategies.
Previous experience working with FQHCs.
1 Year Experience in school and/or school-based health center operations.

At the University of Kansas Medical Center a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
