Job Description
Licensed Registered Nurse (LPN)
- Salary Range:$25.97 - $31.17 per hour based on relevant years of experience
- Location:Fort Collins Colorado at Garcia House
- Status:36 hours per week
- Hours: 3 -12-hour shifts 6pm to 6:30pm
Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential. Shift differentials are also available for evenings nights ($7/hour) weekends and holidays.
Role Overview:
Responsible for providing direct nursing services and supervising health related aspects of care for clients. This position will assist in coordinating medical care and intervention with other team members and providers.
Essential Duties:
- Deliver high-quality patient care by providing prescribed medical treatment implementing medical support services developing plans of care and performing various clinical and administrative duties.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed. Gather monitor and record patient symptoms history and changes in their conditions. Perform standard care procedures like drawing blood checking vital signs or collecting lab samples.
- Coordinate consult and problem solves medical care and intervention with interdisciplinary team members and providers.
- Consistently and independently follow established safety procedures. Report any medical or medication errors by the end of shift.
- Maintain updated knowledge of professional nursing and medication procedures healthcare regulations standards and best practices by actively participating in professional and educational development.
- Document and audit the medical record for all medically necessary client care to ensure continuity of care.
Required:
- Associates degree or two-year college certificate in nursing required
- Colorado Licensed Practical Nurse license (pass NCLEX-PN exam)
- Basic Life Support Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Highly Desired:
- More than two years of nursing experience preferred
- Experience working in behavioral health and substance use preferred
- Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred
Residential (Garcia House)- a specialty co-occurring residential Circle Program providing comprehensive ASAM 3.7 and 3.5 residential treatment to individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.
