Job Description
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
- Prior experience in non-profit organizations is a plus but not required.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with various accounting ERP systems and software.
- Ideally experience managing accounting in complex multi-company environments.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced settings.
Duties:
- Prepare journal entries for various general ledger accounts.
- Reconcile update and maintain schedules for general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and file sales excise and use tax reports.
- Perform monthly allocations for shared costs.
- Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile bank accounts monthly.
- Manage the expensing of prepaid balance sheet accounts.
- Reconcile and import donor contributions into the finance ERP system.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare year-end accrual journal entries.
- Assist with auditor documentation requests.
