Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:
As an HR Generalist you will serve as a key liaison between employees and management providing support and guidance on a wide range of HR-related matters. This position combines the responsibilities of a traditional HR Generalist with a focus on employee relations ensuring a positive work environment and effective resolution of workplace issues.
This is an on-site position that will require the candidate to be in the office 5 days a week and ability to support off-shift employees on a once a week schedule and as needed basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Participate in the recruitment process by partnering with Talent Acquisition and Management in posting job openings conducting interviews and assisting with onboarding activities.
- Performance Management: Support performance management processes including goal setting performance evaluations and coaching discussions.
- Training and Development: Coordinate training initiatives assess training needs and facilitate employee development programs.
- HR Policy and Compliance: Assist in implementation of HR policies and procedures ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
- Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- HR Reporting: Prepare HR metrics and reports to track key performance indicators and support decision-making processes.
- Employee Relations Management: Manage employee relations matters including grievances complaints conflicts and conduct thorough investigations as needed.
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field; Masters degree or HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP PHR) preferred.
- Bilingual English Spanish preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on business partnering and operations.
- Strong understanding of California HR practices labor laws and compliance regulations.
Desired Characteristics:
- Excellent communication interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis and the use of HR metrics to drive decisions.
- Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday.
