Job Description
We are seeking a CDL Class A Shunt/Yard Driver for our Metairie LA location who is safety conscious and reliable. As a key part of the operations team this position is responsible for moving trailers between our facilities and around the yard. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented have strong communication skills and be committed to maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and procedures
- Operates shunt truck to move trailers within the yard and between local Clean Harbors facilities
- Performs routine pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment
- Coordinates trailer movement with warehouse operations and transportation teams
- Maintains accurate records of trailer activity and completes required documentation
- Assists with additional duties as required within yard operations
Qualifications
What does it take to be successful in this role
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- 13 years of commercial driving or yard jockey experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Plant/industrial experience a plus but not required
