Employment Status: Full-time temporary placement

Duration: 4 months (Target Date: September to December 2025)

Job Type: In office with flexibility to manage your work schedule with up to 8 days per month to work from home.

Please note that we have two operating entities in Canada CARFAX Inc. and CARFAX Canada. This position is with CARFAX Canada.

Job Details

As a Developer Co-op youll be part of an agile development team working on both new and existing applications. Youll gain hands-on experience in software design development testing and deployment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an extremely detail-oriented organized people-oriented candidate to gain some hands-on development and to be considered for future development roles within our company!

You would report to one of our Development Managers but would work closely with Junior Intermediate and Senior Developers to gain a ton of experience!

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications using C# T-SQL and JavaScript.
• Assist in building both front-end interfaces and back-end logic including API integrations.
• Write and maintain unit tests and contribute to integration testing efforts.
• Collaborate with the technical operations team to support deployment and configuration tasks.
• Work with quality assurance (QA) specialists to ensure quality standards and testing requirements are met.
• Support bug fixes and enhancements for existing applications.
• Engage in daily agile ceremonies such as stand-ups and sprint planning.

Education and Experience Required:

• Currently enrolled in a college diploma or university degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field with a co-op placement.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming especially with C#.
• Exposure to SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript) and modern frameworks (e.g. is an asset).
• Basic understanding of REST APIs unit testing and integration testing.
• Experience using Git or similar version control tools.
• Awareness of agile software development practices.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
