About Us: At Cooper Standard we pride ourselves on being a leading financial business partner supporting our internal teams in Business Development Sales and Program Management. Our Account Financial Management (AFM) Team plays a crucial role in driving financial success and ensuring the profitability of our projects.
Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our AFM Team. In this role you will work across multiple sites and projects collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate financial assessments and reporting. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Quoting Team:
Analyze production costs and material expenses to create comprehensive business cases for new projects (RFQs).
Review and provide insights on CAPEX tooling investments and logistics costs.
Lead the team in finding the best cost solutions while ensuring accuracy in financial assumptions.
Partner with Program Managers:
Assess product profitability from the award phase to start of production (SOP).
Identify and analyze profitability variance drivers ensuring robust action plans are in place.
Prepare consolidated reports for Europe and global stakeholders.
Manage Tooling Profitability & Cash Flow:
Monitor costs against authorized spending and ensure timely invoicing and payments.
Analyze tooling margins and manage profit forecasts.
Contribute to Special Projects:
Engage in ad hoc projects that support our financial goals and enhance team performance.
What Were Looking For:
Education & Experience:
Masters degree in Finance or Industrial Engineering.
2-3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment with a focus on project management finance or business development. / mandatory /
Technical Skills:
Advanced Excel skills (database management pivot tables). / mandatory /
Proficiency in Business English. / mandatory /
SAP practical knowledge is a plus.
Automotive industry experience preferred.
Soft Skills:
Self-starter with strong independent task management abilities.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial colleagues.
Ability to engage with all levels of the organization including Directors and VPs.
Work Environment:
Enjoy a flexible hybrid work model with one day per week in the office. Full remote work is available for candidates located far from our Bielsko-Biala office.
Participate in an onboarding business trip to visit our Cooper Standard production plant in Europe.
