DescriptionWe currently have an opportunity for an IT Project Managerto join our team on a 12-month contract. This position will provide co-ordination and management for the delivery of technology projects to achieve long-term business objectives. This will be done in consultation and co-design with the senior leadership team business Contract Managers and Group IT and include the creation/review and completion of business cases. You will be expected to utilise appropriate internal/external resources as required or manage third party delivery partners (including Group IT) in order to deliver projects to meet business timelines.
ResponsibilitiesThe role has a broad remit with key responsibilities outlined below:
- Work autonomously to meet required timelines and outputs for multiple projects.
- Create and review business cases for endorsement by the SI&CS IT and Cybersecurity Governance Board (ITCGB)
- Have a clear understanding and control of project budgets risks and issues and report these to relevant steering committees or leadership as required.
- Manage the appropriate delivery model and risk for each project to ensure it is delivered in the most effective manner.
- Manage each project to scope time specified quality and approved budgets.
QualificationsWhat youll bring
- Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent extensive experience) in information technology computer science business or related discipline.
- Hold or able to obtain a government security clearance (must be an Australian Citizen)
- Extensive applied experience in business analysis process design enterprise program and project management.
- Demonstrated experience implementing projects and programs to budget and in a timely manner.
- Experience effecting business change to ensure projects are accepted by the business and deliver expected business value.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity risk management.
- Wide range of knowledge of a variety of business areas including key business processes systems financial operational and commercial.
- Commercial acumen - proven ability to understand a business case inputs and key drivers and achieve objectives financial profitability and effective business relationships.
