AB Staffing is looking for experienced Social Workers in Round Lake IL that are available for the 2025/2026 school :$1645.00 - $2065.00 per weekJob Description:Contracts through the 2025/2026 school yearContract follows the academic district calendar 35 to 40 hours per and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location - Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillsetEssential Functions:Works to resolve students educational handicaps; works to discover and develop special abilities of students; works to prevent students from dropping out of schoolHelps register students new to the school and orients them to school procedures and the schools varied opportunities for learning; aids students in course and subject selection; maintains student records and protects their confidentialityAssists students on an individual basis in the solution of personal problems related to such situations as home and family relations peer relations health and emotional adjustment; is available to students to provide counseling in such areas as personal growth self-understanding and maturityConducts small group counseling on student-selected and counselor-identified topics such as study skills social skills anger management self-esteem changing families and griefObtains and disseminates occupational information to students and to classes studying occupations; helps students evaluate career interests and choices; may organize and conduct career dayProvides crisis counseling when needed for prevention intervention and follow-up with referrals when necessary to community resourcesOffers in-service training in school counseling topics for staff; collaborates with administrators and faculty on the matters of student discipline developmental issues and identifying significant behaviors such as suicide self-harm and depressionTakes an active role in interpreting the schools objectives to students parents and the community at large; confers with parents whenever necessaryPerforms other related work as assignedWhy choose AB Staffing Since 2002 AB Staffing has placed contract employees in positions all across the country.
