As our Accounts Payable Specialist you will play an essential role in the financial operations of HomePro ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices expense reports and payments. Located in the heart of Texas this full-time position offers the chance to advance your career in the rapidly evolving smart home and technology sector.
Key Responsibilities in Accounts Payable Processing
- Process vendor invoices and payment requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Verify the accuracy of billing data and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
- Maintain up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions ensuring correct posting and compliance.
- Reconcile monthly statements and aged payables reports identifying discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and process check runs ACH payments and wire transfers in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with the Purchasing and Receiving departments to verify receipts and purchase order details.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships with external suppliers.
- Assist with month-end close tasks and audits related to accounts payable activity.
- Support process improvement initiatives within the accounting and finance teams as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills for Accounts Payable Positions
- 2 years of experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of accounts payable procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Proficient in using accounting software and business systems (experience with ERP systems a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills for handling multiple priorities.
- High school diploma or GED required; associates or bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field preferred.
