Job Description
- Location: Chinle AZ 86503
- Weekly Pay rate: $2592 - $2880
- Shift: Day/Night Rotate 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36
Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients utilizing fetal and maternal monitoring equipment.
- Manage patient pain including epidural and patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) administration.
- Assist physicians during labor delivery treatment examination and surgical procedures.
- Monitor record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate using computerized documentation systems.
- Provide patient and family education on labor process pain management and newborn care.
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and nursing protocols.
- Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Manage and respond to emergency situations such as fetal distress hemorrhage and preterm labor.
- Operate specialized L&D equipment such as fetal monitors infusion pumps and neonatal resuscitation devices.
- Collaborate with obstetricians midwives anesthesiologists pediatricians and other healthcare professionals.
- Promote and support breastfeeding and mother-baby bonding.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate or Bachelor s Degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN)
- License: Active RN license (Arizona)
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Required
- Fetal Monitoring Certification Preferred
Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience Required
