Job Description
Purpose of the position
- The job holder provides 3D measurement services using various measuring tools and systems on-site at the customer's premises.
- He/she is responsible for inspecting objects (mostly industrial and production goods) using measuring devices such as a laser tracker a portable arm scanner.
- He/she develops control and measurement procedures that must be followed in the manufacture of customer products.
- The senior measurement technician is responsible for compliance with applicable norms and quality standards and their documentation.
- As a senior manager he/she is responsible for:
- Organisation and planning of the service team and activities
- Managing service team members
- Develop customer relationships and develop activities
- Managing and optimising the team's hardware and software
Necessary requirements for this function
- Knowledge of the methods and tools of industrial measurement technology.
- Mastery/knowledge of the instruments:
- Laser Tracker
- measuring arm
- Mastery/knowledge of the software:
- Metrolog
- Spatial Analyser
- Polyworks
- Proficiency/knowledge of Office tools: MS Office MS Excel MS Word
- Driving license B
- Independence self-organisation methodological competence
- Team management and organisation
- Ability to build customer relationships
Tasks
- Control of large-scale industrial objects
- Assembly and adjustment of tools or equipment
- Measurement control of mechanical parts and industrial assemblies
- Inspection of components during production
- Technical support
- Reports to the team leader
- Use of measuring devices such as laser trackers/ measuring stations
- Writing test reports analysing the results.
- Programming of measurement plans
- Regular travel within Germany (focus: Northwest Germany)
- Team management
- Activities and business development
- Good English language skills
