Kemper is seeking a Major Loss Auto Claims Adjuster. Our office offers a pleasant business casual environment with advantages that include flexible scheduling and generous paid time off tostart.

Position Responsibilities:

• Primarily handles claims with a high complexity and large injury severity.
• Review each claim to ensure that all coverage andexposures issueshave been identified and investigated.
• Completes investigation if warranted and adjusts exposures as needed.
• Contactsinsuredsand claimants within established corporate guidelines to provide notification of reassignment of the claim and to continue the settlement process.
• Handles questions on coverage with a reservation of rights letter and/or non-waiver agreement.
• Advises the underwriting Department of adverse findings regarding insureds and/or coverage.
• Conducts investigations independently and at the direction of management utilizing sound investigative procedures to establish liability as quickly as possible.
• Evaluation negotiation and settlement of bodily injury claims.
  

Position qualifications:

• 5 years claims adjusting experience including experience with evaluationnegotiationand settlement of bodily injury claims.
• Experience handling coverage issues high exposure serious injury liability investigations and large losses.
• Experience with injury evaluation tools a plus.
• The ability to work closely with senior management.
• Follow detailed and specific direction on file handling when required.
• Excellent planning and organizing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to deal with conflict in an effective manner.
• Workload could vary greatly based on volume. Must be able to work effectively amid constant interruptions and be able to meet deadlines.
• Must make decisions quickly and with minimal supervision.
• This is an in office job in either our Dallas TX Doral FL Lake Mary FL McAllen TX Alpharetta GA or Birmingham AL Claims Office. It does include a Remote Day Bank
